Data Deletion Request
Last Updated: October 16, 2026
You can request deletion of your dminder account and any associated data at any time. This page explains what data we hold and how to request its removal.
What data is held
dminder stores most user data locally on your device. If you have enabled cloud sync (premium tier with Google Sign-In on Android, or iCloud on iOS), some of the following data may also be stored in our cloud or in your private iCloud / Google Drive:
- Profile information (name, date of birth, biological sex, skin type, height, weight)
- Sun session history (timestamps, location, UV conditions, vitamin D produced)
- Supplement and food dose records
- Lab result entries (if you have entered any)
- Email address (only if you signed in with Google for Drive sync on Android, or with iCloud on iOS)
- Anonymous diagnostic data (Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics) — cannot be tied to identity
How to delete your data yourself
In the app (iPhone version 100.11.11 or later, Android 10.10.8 or later), open Settings:
- Delete Cloud Data deletes your iCloud data (iPhone) or the backups the app made in your Google Drive (Android), and our encrypted backups. It shows what was deleted, keeps the data on your phone, and turns cloud backup off.
- Delete Account & Data does the same and also removes everything D-Minder stores on your phone.
- Diagnostic archive copies are deleted automatically within 30 days.
For data stored locally on your device:
- Uninstall the app. All locally stored data is removed when the app is uninstalled.
- Clear app data via your device settings (Settings → Apps → dminder → Storage → Clear data on Android; offload & reinstall on iOS).
How to request server-side deletion
To delete any cloud-synced data we hold against your account:
- Send an email to support@ontometrics.com
- Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request
- Include the email address you used with dminder cloud sync (if applicable), and a brief statement that you would like your data deleted.
What happens next
- We will confirm receipt of your request within 7 business days.
- All cloud-synced data tied to your account will be deleted within 30 days of your request.
- Anonymous diagnostic data (Firebase Crashlytics / Analytics) is retained according to Firebase’s default retention policy and is not personally identifiable.
- If you only used the free tier, all your data is stored locally on your device and you can delete it yourself by uninstalling the app — we have nothing to delete on our servers.
